Multicultural Greek Council

Emory Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) was founded in fall 2011 to serve as an umbrella organization for fostering collaboration and communication among culturally-based sororities and fraternities. The council strives for distinction in diversity and inclusivity while promoting cultural awareness, academic excellence, and lasting brotherhoods/sisterhoods. MGC is known for educational events that raise awareness on cultural competency and social justice issues. Currently, MGC consists of six organizations. Recruitment and membership intake processes vary by organization but typically begins a few weeks into every semester. The semesterly MGC Showcase bring MGC chapters together to celebrate and share their founding values, national philanthropy, and performances in stepping, strolling, and saluting. For more information on the programs, chapters, and events of the Multicultural Greek Council, please contact emorymgc@emory.edu or find us on Instagram @emory_mgc.
